profile-image copy2#MMTT – Did you know that your Facebook Fan page profile image does not have to be just your logo or a small picture? The area available in the profile image section is 200 x 600 pixels and here is an example of Mari Smith, the “Pied Piper of Facebook” taking full advantage of it:

Here are some thoughts we have for great uses for all that extra Facebook profile image space:

1) Put your social media addresses here
You should have a live link to your website or blog in your profile description (see tips in our previous post) but if you didn’t have room for your other social media addresses, then why not include them in your image?

For Example:
Twitter: @MarkbeechMktg

2) Showcase your products
Show a book you have written (see Mari’s image) or a CD you completed or a representation of any product you have to sell. A picture is worth a thousand words.

3) Include a list of services you offer
Why not go ahead and let people know what you can do for them? Use a short, bulleted list of the services you provide.

4) Promote your upcoming event
Do you have an upcoming event you are speaking at? A trade show you are attending? Why not let people know about it on Facebook. Here’s a great example from Social Media Examiner:
